Art direction for Prompt Engineering Essentials, an online course from LUMSx. The lookbook set its direction, clean, futuristic, retro and mono, across type, colour, icons, prompt and chat screens, slides, the set and the instructors' wardrobe.

Context
Prompt Engineering Essentials is one of the online courses I art directed at LUMSx alongside the rebrand, with Intro to Python and Entrepreneurship 101. I worked with faculty and the content team on course cards, banners, motion graphics and on-camera styling, turning course material into clear, engaging visual lessons.
Art direction
IBM Plex Sans sets headings and emphasis; IBM Plex Mono sets body text and every prompt, so whatever is typed to the AI looks like what it is. Prompts appear on screen as numbered versions, so learners can watch one evolve into the next.
The palette merges retro warmth with digital precision. Off-white and charcoal make a calm, academic base, and the saturated accents stand for experimentation, mirroring how prompts branch into different outputs.

The lookbook
On set
The set brief was minimal, well lit, natural and energetic. Books and props add a pop of colour, planters break the coldness of the set with natural shapes, and objects and lights act as guiding lines that bring the eye back to the instructor. Plain backgrounds can be textured with a shadow catcher, and a rug adds colour where the set is bare.
For wardrobe: solid, darker colours in greyscale and blues, business casual, so nothing competes with the screen.
Lessons and slides
Slide-based video lessons and mini-project demonstrations each open on their own title card. The lesson slides leave an instructor window on the right, so the teacher stays on screen beside the idea.
